Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports began in the form of a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional career 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko made her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious by TKO at the end of round 2. Her two subsequent matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She came back against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in an unanimous decision. She then went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her superior striking abilities at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC during her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first bout by a unanimity. Antonina bounced back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night during the bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
