Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides easy techniques any person can master. Chef Burrell has worked in some of the top eateries in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled to earn an English degree as well as a communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The student says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of American student. I was awed by every moment." I was never able to be more educated or accomplished in my studies. Following graduation at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. While in Italy, she developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. It is a huge influence on how Burrell cooks. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children living with obstacles and is also a Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship task. Anne has, through her whole cooking journey, has said that it's a pleasure to be in a position to be able to share this love of life with others.
